As a megacity, Shanghai regards initial rainwater treatment as a critical link in urban waterlogging prevention and water-environment improvement. The Minxing North Initial Rainwater Storage Project in Yangpu District, Shanghai has passed the completion acceptance.
Focusing on the collection, storage and treatment of initial rainwater within the area, the project builds rainwater storage facilities to reduce rainwater runoff pollution, enhance regional flood-control and drainage capacity, improve local water environment, and facilitate the implementation of Shanghai’s sponge-city system.
This marks the second initial rainwater storage tank project delivered by Supumps Environmental Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. in Yangpu District. Previously, the company supplied complete sets of equipment and process technical services for the Fudan University Initial Rainwater Storage Project, and has maintained in-depth participation in the construction of rainwater-management infrastructure across Yangpu District.
As the supplier of complete mechanical and electrical equipment as well as the process technology service provider for this project, Supumps took deep part in the whole construction cycle. Tailored to site conditions and drainage process requirements, the company delivered complete mechanical and electrical equipment for rainwater-storage scenarios, alongside full-chain technical services including customized process scheme design, equipment manufacturing, factory inspection and on-site technical guidance.
During project implementation, Supumps’ technical team worked closely with the general contractor, mechanical-electrical subcontractor and other stakeholders. Aligning with on-site construction schedules, the team ensured smooth equipment delivery and commissioning, resolved intricate technical challenges throughout project execution, and guaranteed stable and reliable operation of the entire rainwater-storage system.
The completion of the Minxing North Initial Rainwater Storage Project further optimizes the rainwater management system of Yangpu District. Going forward, Supumps will keep focusing on urban-rural drainage, waterlogging mitigation and sponge-city development. By leveraging innovative drainage equipment and systematic processes, the company will deliver high-quality equipment and technical solutions for urban water-environment governance projects, and continuously support the high-quality development of urban infrastructure.
