• Reconstruction Project for Waterlogging-prone Sections of Underpass at Kuipu Bridge, Fuzhou
    Project Background
    The Kuipu Bridge over the Min River is a vital passage of the East Third Ring Road connecting the north and south banks of the river. Its southern approach bridge links to the Fuquan Interchange of the Third Ring Road and the completed Fuxia Road Viaduct, while the northern approach bridge connects to the Kuiqi Interchange and the Airport Expressway. The culverts under the Kuipu Bridge used to suffer from waterlogging whenever heavy rain fell, bringing great trouble to passing drivers. Therefore, an upgrading and renovation of the drainage system was carried out.

    The adoption of Supumps integrated lift pump stations has thoroughly resolved the local waterlogging issue.

    An integrated pump station with a designed capacity of 120,000 m³/d and an overall height of 8 meters was customized for the project, adopting a dual-cylinder parallel layout.

  • Renovation Project of Underpass on Shenjiahu Expressway, Qingpu District
    Project Background
    The Shanghai section of Shenjiahu Expressway (S32) starts at the Enclosure River near Shanghai Pudong International Airport, stretches westward across the Huangpu River via Minpu Bridge, and terminates at the boundary between Shanghai and Zhejiang Province, connecting with the Zhejiang section of Shenjiahu Expressway (S12). As a major transportation artery linking Zhejiang and Pudong Airport, it has a total length of approximately 83.5 kilometers.
    Project Challenges
    The underpass along the expressway lies in a low-lying area and serves as the only access for local villagers. Accumulated rainwater on rainy days has seriously disrupted residents' daily travel.
    Supumps Solutions
    We provided one set of integrated rainwater drainage pump station with a designed capacity of 10,200 m³/d. All pump station components are prefabricated in the factory and delivered to the site for direct installation, which greatly shortens the construction period. The project avoided traffic congestion on main roads during renovation, effectively resolved rainwater drainage issues at the underpass and restored smooth travel for local residents.

  • Reconstruction Project of North and South Bridgehead Nodes of Xilin Bridge, Neijiang
    Project Background
    The south approach of Xilin Bridge starts from the football field on Dazhou Road in Shizhong District and ends at No. 1 Junior High School on Heba Street, with a total length of 705 meters, including a 455-meter-long underpass tunnel. The north approach extends from Taibai Intersection on Dongtong Road in Dongxing District to Dafo Temple Square, spanning 685 meters with a 450-meter-long underpass tunnel.
    The underpass is designed as a two-way four-lane passage, with auxiliary roads featuring one-way two lanes on each side. Two pedestrian overpasses will be built at the south bridgehead and three at the north bridgehead respectively. The total investment of the project reaches 136 million yuan.
    Project Challenges
    As a key project to ease traffic congestion in Neijiang urban area, this is also the first underpass tunnel project in the city. Its construction is of great significance for optimizing the road network and alleviating traffic jams in the main urban area.
